Embracing a warm ovation from the San Antonio crowd, Shawn Michaels thanked the WWE Universe for allowing him to be part of the D-Generation X reunion at the 1,000th episode of Raw. The Heartbreak Kid then began to talk about the match at SummerSlam between Brock Lesnar and Triple H, but before he could share his thoughts, Brock’s entrance music rocked the AT&T Center.
After accompanying Brock to the ring, Paul Heyman told HBK that Brock does not want to entertain at SummerSlam. Rather, he seeks to pummel The Game and prove he is the “baddest dude on the planet today.” Michaels claimed that any other time, Lesnar would be the favorite in the matchup, but Heyman tilted the odds by making things personal with The King of Kings. The Showstopper then revealed he will be in Triple H’s corner at SummerSlam to watch his longtime ally defeat Lesnar.
Brock grabbed the microphone from Heyman and told Shawn that the only reason he thinks Triple H can beat Lesnar is because he’s never been in the ring with him — until now. The Game didn’t stand for Lesnar’s bullying as he charged out and exchanged a heated staredown with Lesnar. The behemoth proceeded to back off from a potential physical exchange, but issued a warning to HBK, telling him that he’d see him before SummerSlam.
